Most guitar stands are folding metal frames built to be packed into a gig bag and forgotten. FormaStand is the opposite. It's a piece of furniture built specifically to hold your guitar — something you leave out on purpose.
Solid walnut gives the stand real weight and a low, stable centre of gravity. The result is a calm, sculptural object that frames your instrument in the room instead of hiding it in a corner.

Solid walnut, finished by hand
Each stand is made from solid American black walnut — a dense, warm hardwood with a deep grain that ages beautifully. No veneers, no particle board.
The wood is hand-sanded and finished to bring out the natural grain and give a smooth, tactile surface. Each piece of real timber is unique — grain and colour vary slightly from stand to stand, so no two FormaStands are exactly the same.

Solid walnut is dense and heavy. The stand sits low to the ground with a wide base, so it stays put — even in a room where people brush past it.
Fits your guitar
Designed for full-size acoustics and standard electrics — dreadnoughts, auditoriums, Les Pauls, Stratocasters. If your guitar is standard size, it fits.
Nitro-safe
The finish is nitro-safe, making it suitable for guitars with traditional nitrocellulose lacquer as well as modern poly finishes.

Surfaces are sanded smooth and finished by hand to bring out the depth of the walnut grain.
Limited monthly batch
About ten stands are made each month. The 4-week lead time is the time it takes to do it properly.
